Gibson Guitar Corp. Responds to Federal Raid

Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar Corp., has responded to the August 24 raid of Gibson facilities in Nashville and Memphis by the Federal Government. In a press release, Juszkiewicz said: “Gibson is innocent and will fight to protect its rights. Gibson has complied with foreign laws and believes it is innocent of ANY wrong doing. We will fight aggressively to prove our innocence.”

The raids forced Gibson to cease manufacturing operations and send workers home for the day while armed agents executed the search warrants. “Agents seized wood that was Forest Stewardship Council controlled,” Juszkiewicz said. “Gibson has a long history of supporting sustainable and responsible sources of wood and has worked diligently with entities such as the Rainforest Alliance and Greenpeace to secure FSC-certified supplies. The wood seized on August 24 satisfied FSC standards.”

Juszkiewicz believes that the Justice Department is bullying Gibson without filing charges.

The Justice department bullies Gibson without filing charges
The Federal Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. has suggested that the use of wood from India that is not finished by Indian workers is illegal, not because of U.S. law, but because it is the Justice Department’s interpretation of a law in India. (If the same wood from the same tree was finished by Indian workers, the material would be legal.) This action was taken without the support and consent of the government in India.

On August 24, 2011, around 8:45 a.m. CDT, agents for the federal government executed four search warrants on Gibson’s facilities in Nashville and Memphis and seized several pallets of wood, electronic files and guitars. Gibson had to cease its manufacturing operations and send workers home for the day, while armed agents executed the search warrants. Gibson has fully cooperated with the execution of the search warrants.

• Raid shut down Gibson factories and cost company money
This is the second time that federal agents have raided Gibson facilities and disrupted production – this time causing lost productivity and sales.

• Wood seized was Forest Stewardship Council Controlled
The wood the Government seized on August 24 is from a Forest Stewardship Council certified supplier and is FSC Controlled, meaning that the wood complies with the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council, which is an industry-recognized and independent, not-for-profit organization established to promote responsible management of the world’s forests. FSC Controlled Wood standards require, among other things, that the wood not be illegally harvested and not be harvested in violation of traditional and civil rights. • Nearly two years later, no charges have been filed
In 2009, more than a dozen agents with automatic weapons invaded the Gibson factory in Nashville. The Government seized guitars and a substantial amount of ebony fingerboard blanks from Madagascar. To date, 1 year and 9 months later, criminal charges have NOT been filed, yet the Government still holds Gibson’s property. Gibson has obtained sworn statements and documents from the Madagascar government and these materials, which have been filed in federal court, show that the wood seized in 2009 was legally exported under Madagascar law and that no law has been violated. Gibson is attempting to have its property returned in a civil proceeding that is pending in federal court.

The Justice Department has asked the judge to stop the court case indefinitely.

• Information sought in raid was already made available
Since 2009, Gibson has fully cooperated with the Government’s investigation of wood and has provided substantial documentation regarding Gibson’s wood-buying activities over the years. Yet, the Federal Government raided Gibson’s facilities on August 24, 2011, without warning or communication of any kind. Had the Government simply communicated with Gibson, Gibson would have cooperated without having to stop its production and send workers home.

• Not about illegal logging, not about conservation, not about the environment
The U.S. Lacey Act does not directly address conservation issues but is about obeying all laws of the countries from which wood products are procured. This law reads that you are guilty if you did not observe a law even though you had no knowledge of that law in a foreign country. The U.S. Lacey Act is only applicable when a foreign law has been violated.

• Gibson is innocent and will fight to protect its rights
Gibson has complied with foreign laws and believes it is innocent of ANY wrong doing. We will fight aggressively to prove our innocence.

Frankly I consider it a symptom of the larger problem; the core issue at hand...

The willingness for uber-liberal politicians and kool-aid drinkers to elect panty-waist pussified metro-sexual politicians to legislate protections to recidivistic violent felons and for said politicians to aspire to become members of the judiciary so they can be rogue judges legislating radical leftist communist/socialist insanity from the bench...

When these LEO's sign-on and swear their oaths of duty to protect and serve they quickly find out they are getting hung out to dry by not only the people they are sworn to protect, but by our culture and society at large.

They are told their job is to keep the peace, yet the injustice department of our government continues to release violent recidivist felons on their own recognizance for no other reason than it pleases the poor indentured-servitor voter block for their continued politically expedient existential success...

As we as a society slouch further and further toward Gomorrah with our socio-suicidal appeasement and elitist abdication of self-accountability and personal responsibility and are bringing up generations to believe they are entitled to anything they want simply for the desire of it and continue to berate and denigrate the ideology of earning your own way in life and the American Exceptionalism of self-determination...

Understood, I think this is a Califonian case, but the point is still the same! They are simply further over the edge into the abyss than we are in other parts of what still is actually America with their longer recorded history of succumbing to the popular manufactured pressures of communist/socialist failure! The following is real, and it’s here now. Joe Hunter goes to a cocktail party, nothing fancy, just a holiday gathering in Anytown, USA. A conversation begins with Bob Peta, it goes something like this.


Bob Peta: Say Joe, didn’t you go deer hunting this year?
Joe Hunter: Sure did Bob.
Bob: Man, that’s great, did you get one?
Joe: Yep, I sure did, a nice six pointer.
Bob: Hey, that’s great. Say listen Joe, you’re a true hunter, a “real” hunter are you not?
Joe: I sure am.
Bob: Say, I hear tell of a kind of hunting where people can go kill animals in fenced areas. You’ve never done that, have you?
Joe: No, no I haven’t.
Bob: Well, I wouldn’t call that real hunting, would you Joe?
Joe: Well, that’s not the way I hunt.
Bob: I know Joe, but there are people who hunt in fenced areas. I don’t think that’s really hunting, do you Joe?
Joe: well, uh, I guess not.
Bob: Great. Say, listen Joe, a group of us concerned “real” hunters are trying to get that method of hunting done away with. We feel it is unethical, will you help us?
Joe: Sure, because that is not the way I hunt, and I’m a real hunter.
Bob: Thanks Joe. Here is what we need you to do. As a real hunter the big boys in Congress and the Senate will listen to you. They know that any “real” hunter only hunts the way you do, and that’s the only real hunting there is. What we need you to do is get out there and get petitions signed, people will sign them because you are a real hunter, and they know that only your way of hunting is the “real” way.
So Joe diligently goes after the goal, to ban, and outlaw any kind of hunting that Bob suggest is not real hunting. He gathers up signatures, petitions courts, and makes meetings. He is really cleaning up this unethical way of hunting, he’s got a lot of support. He is gathering “real” hunters from all over, and finally, after much hard work, they get a legal way of hunting banned.

Bob: Joe, you did great and we sure appreciate your hard work, but let me tell you what I heard. There is another type of hunting that we think is not right. Could you help us again?
Joe: Well I guess so Bob. I don’t hunt like that, so it’s not real hunting anyway. How can I help?

It’s the same old story. It’s odd how Bob Peta keeps adding to the list of what “real” hunting is. However, Joe goes at it hard and heavy, and in the end, he helps get that type of hunting banned. Bob and his friends are happy. Joe is a “real” hunter, and these other guy’s aren’t, because the way they hunt is different from Joe, and Joe does not like that way of hunting. So what’s the harm in getting rid of that type of hunting. Joe is a “real” hunter after all, not like those other guys. He even goes to sportsmen’s organizations and recruits from within, it’s easy because they are all “real” hunters too.


Time passes, and more and more legal ways of hunting are banned. Bob and his friends are real happy with Joe, he’s been a real help. So after all the unethical ways of hunting are gone, Bob and his friends decide that it is time to get Joe’s way of hunting banned, the final chapter.

Joe: Bob, hey buddy, this is Joe. I know I helped you get rid of all those other forms of legal hunting, but now there is a move to get rid of the way I hunt.
Bob: Well Joe, I know. My friends and I are spearheading that movement.
Joe: But Bob, I thought you liked the way I hunt, and it was OK for me to do that type of hunting?
Bob: Well Joe, no, any and all types of hunting are bad, the poor defenseless animals never have a chance, and we dislike, actually we hate hunters.
Joe: But I thought the way I hunted was “real” hunting to you?
Bob: Joe, it was all real hunting, but we at PETA and HSUS hate you. Thanks for all your help, we greatly appreciate it.

You see, what Joe became was a “Cannibal”, a“Useful Idiot” to the anti-hunters at HSUS and PETA . They don’t give a rats backside how you hunt, what you hunt, or where you hunt, they just want all hunting done away with. The sad thing is that they use hunters against hunters for their causes. If you do not support any and all forms of legal hunting, or voice any decent about the way someone else legally hunts, you my friend are a “Cannibal”, and a very “Useful Idiot” to the enemy. Think twice the next time you mouth off against another hunter’s methods, they could be coming after you next.

"I've just returned from the border between the United States and Mexico and I've never witnessed anything like the stinking, rotten level of murder, corruption, cover-up, and conspiracy confronting us today.

This conspiracy ignited two years ago when U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder claimed that your Second Amendment rights are to blame for the drug crimes and killings in Mexico.

Holder and other top-level Obama Administration figures -- even the President himself -- claimed that 90% of the guns used by violent drug cartels were coming from American gun dealers.

In short, they blamed our Second Amendment rights for the violence of the Mexican drug cartels.

But leaked U.S. State Department cables have exposed this as a bald-faced LIE.

These Obama Administration cables proved beyond a shadow of a doubt what the Mexican government already knew: That the drug cartels were getting guns -- along with fully-automatic weapons, grenade launchers, anti-personnel mines and other military hardware -- through Central America, NOT THE U.S.

While these leaked cables exposed the lies propping up Obama's gun control agenda, administration officials at the highest levels pushed a strategy to fit their gun control aims.

In a display of corruption and arrogance that's shocking even for this Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) launched Operation "Fast and Furious" -- an illegal pipeline for shipping guns into Mexico.

With our government's full knowledge and complicity, BATFE higher-ups ordered firearms dealers to sell these guns illegally to straw purchasers. And it wasn't just a few guns... It was over two thousand!!!

At the time, BATFE agents protested the insanity of Operation Fast and Furious, and the sheer stupidity of letting thousands of illegally purchased guns just walk over the border into the hands of criminals.

But BATFE supervisors pushed back saying, "if you want to make an omelet, you have to break some eggs."

One of those "eggs" broke on the night of December 14, 2010.

That night, 40-year old Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was in a remote Arizona canyon with a six-member tactical team that encountered a group of armed Mexican illegals.

Sources said that the "illegal entrants" were in Arizona to rob cartel drug mules and other illegals. In the initial skirmish, the Border Patrol agents fired low-velocity shotgun beanbag rounds and were met with 7.62x39mm return fire.

Officer Terry died in the exchange. And when the bandits fled, they left behind two AK-style rifles that were traced to sales made under the Fast and Furious operation.

Senator Charles Grassley (IA) and Representative Darrell Issa (CA) are defending our Second Amendment rights and fighting for justice for Agent Terry by holding Congressional hearings on Fast and Furious.

But they're being stonewalled by Obama, Holder and others who are bent on sweeping the truth under the rug.

They are withholding government documents that say exactly who ordered the operations. Government e-mails warn witnesses not to cooperate. Congressional subpoenas are being ignored.

While I myself am not Catholic, and have never been personally accosted by what went on in The Roman Catholic priest scandal. It went deep into the inner bowels of hell where NAMBLA had taken over with recruiting factions within several seminaries; some very nearby. It was a movement of extreme radical homosexuality. The participants have admitted so, that is not my speculation. (The facts have been presented, submitted into evidence, and substantiated. There is no argument to be made there!) It was a haven for the expansion of the homosexual movement and it's leaders, and little boys (alter boys) were the accepted relief valve for these criminals and dangerous deviants to blow-off steam with...

For the gays to put up their rank-and-file patented assertion/defense/response that it's not about lewd and lascivious behaviors is yet again proved fraudulent and patently false; at least by those movement "leaders" that gave them birth and initiated the movement to "mainstream" their acceptance by just such underground and back-door horrors...

Every time I hear a conservative speak of "capitalism," I cringe. In fact, when I am compelled to call those men and women who cherish liberty and believe in the God of Jews and Christians by the odd term "conservative," I realize just how far we have let leftists limit language, and so, limit our power to converse and even to think. Every serious concept of political thought has been consciously misnamed by the enemies of freedom and faith.


What does "leftist," for example, mean? Nothing, really. If there were an ideological spectrum (there is not), then "leftist" and "rightist" would be opposites, and moving toward the left would mean embracing more the ideas of Marx, while moving toward the right would mean moving toward Hitler. But this is historical nonsense. Hitler and all the leading Nazis passionately embraced socialism and loathed "capitalism." All those murderous and hateful cliques -- Bolsheviks, Fascists, and Nazis -- loathed the God of Jews and Christians. All despised liberty, including economic liberty. Why, then, do we think in terms of an ideological spectrum? Our enemies -- the "left," for want of a better term -- invented the ideological spectrum. Why use the language of our enemies? We should not.


The terms used to describe gradations of the ideological spectrum are all Alice in Wonderland words: "reactionaries," "conservatives," "liberals," "progressives," and "radicals." These words describe reality only if the flawed, silly theory of Marx, written over 150 years ago and disproved by history in every test since then, is true. Marxism is less evil than farce.The "Marx" involved is less Karl and more Groucho. Socialists have the intellectual seriousness of the Flat Earth Society. The sad part is that people who oppose this quackery believe that socialists are sincere disciples of a respected faith; we treat these enemies as if they believed in something.


Make no mistake: Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al. believe in nothing but power. They are not "socialists." There are no socialists in the world except those in mental institutions or very young children who have never seen modern political debate in action. The façade of socialism has always been the same -- a phony banner for the acquisition of power. Every brutal thug, every Hitler or Stalin wannabe, first champions the masses against the despised few who exploit them. It is almost impossible, in a free society, for anyone to exploit anyone else for very long. But the lust for power must be sated, and the fruits of freedom must be slandered and spat upon with invented words.


...Words like "capitalism," for example, which is as surreally devoid of real meaning as "Jewish science" or "kulaks" or "homophobes." These words are intended to limit thought, to short-circuit critical reasoning, and to funnel ideas into tight corrals. When we use "capitalism," we are presupposing that economic freedom is dictated by capital or by capital and labor. History, of course, tells us that economic freedom leads to an explosion of new ideas, innovation in technique, and scientific development. The relationship between capital and labor, the Holy of Holies to socialists, is dramatically unimportant in the real world. This myth, though, must be repeated often, that even those of us who love freedom accept the myth as somehow true.


I have long suggested that we call our common enemies -- the disciples of Alinsky, of Hitler, of Stalin, and the rest -- simply "Sinisterists." They all believe in precisely the same thing: power, and nothing else. They hate Judeo-Christian religious belief because they hate divinely ordained liberty. The confluence of these rages always leads to the same cesspool: Sinisterists hate America (its liberty and its faithful people), hate Israel (that island of liberty and hope created by people bound to stubborn notions of purpose), hate Christians (the principal liberators of mankind), and Jews (the unbreakable bearers of original moral values).


Whatever we call them, our enemies are not ideologues at all. They are creatures described by Orwell as Inner Party members. They exist to serve the Party, but the Party exists only for the purpose of perpetuating power. The enslavement of minds comes from the abolition of language and its reconstruction into small jail cells which prevent the subjects of Oceania from thinking, a process dependent upon words. That is why so many leftists flock to journalism, teaching, law, colleges, and politics -- choice points in human cognition which, if controlled by Party members, let language itself be enslaved. When we let leftists (or, as I would call them, Sinisterists) limit and control the words we use to think, then no matter what victories for freedom we believe that we have won, our hands and feet are still fettered.


How utterly dependent are our enemies on the quackery of an ideological spectrum with all its sundry, silly words? When is the last time that someone like Howard Dean or Harry Reid could engage in political debate without falling into a groove which kept repeating "far right," "extremist," or some similar slanderous sloganeering devoid of any real meaning? When a Tea Party supporter suggests a return of power to state governments, do our enemies ever -- really, ever? -- respond respectfully and rationally? The first and the last argument comprises personal attacks, crude insults rooted in the phony ideological spectrum, and use of words intended to end thinking rather than produce serious discussion.


Winning political battles is important, but winning the battle for our language is essential. Everyone grasps that the common heritage of Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and Mussolini is evil. Reject the "ideological spectrum" with its bastard words, and the enemies of ordered liberty have no sword and no shield. Champion the liberation of mankind at the behest of a Blessed Creator, when those dull armies of false words are exposed to sunlight, and victory -- final victory -- is won.

So our illustrious President has now stooped to making political pap speeches in Op-Ed pieces in newspapers where his nonsense assertions and purposely disinformed agenda can be simply printed and passed along as gospel to the masses of Kool-aid drinkin' sheeple...

Fortunately there are people within the good citizenry and true thinkers and leaders among the True-North Americans that won't let his (Barry Hussein's) pablum and rhetoric go unchallenged, (unlike the journalistic integrityless Main Stream Media) Wayne LaPierre and Chris Cox of The NRA met the drivel coming from The Whitehouse (not to mention Nancy Pelosi and The Bonnie Fwank Dancers) with some American Exceptionalism by folks that truly respect and cherish our experiment in self-governance; our American Representative Republic...

Multiculturalism has failed, says French president

The 800 pound Gorilla in the room is the simple fact that Islamo-Fascism and Sharia law taking over their culture and law of the land is the root of this problem.

The policy is at fault, of that there is no doubt, implicating racism as the source of opposition to allowing cultures from another location or society to take over your nation isn't multi-culturalism, it's surrender!

Frankly the French know a little too much about that anyway, but in sooth, it is spreading like wildfire to the "enlightened" countries where elitism rules. Where folks that tell us they know better than we do what is right for us and how to live our lives...

We've been telling them since WWII ended that allowing such entities to simply walk in and supplant (I Jim; he who supplants, should know about this) their demands upon the face of our American Exceptionalism comprised of Freedom, Liberty, and Justice for all.

To simply abandon all that got us to the Pinnacle of God's creation endowed with our unalienable rights and the personal/individual freedom that only America and our Constitution has kept government in check with specifically enumerated power which are not to be over-stepped, is the epitome of insanity!

Yet these schmucks point their faggoty little fingers at us and cry foul with false premised fraudulent accusations of the exact oppressive brutal nature of what they are employing all while expressing diametrically opposed intentions to their produced pavement on the road to hell with Freudian Projectionist glee and insipid banality...

And we've let them...

We let Frenchy Frenchman get over-run and frankly put them on the cusp of extinction at the hands of Islamo-Fascist hordes of zealous despots that have remained true to their self-serving cause while we have not!

As I've referenced, and is often wisely sooth-said, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, but when those who live in the delusional denial of what their actions are doing to the detriment of the cause they pretend to champion with lip-service rhetoric and pablum meant to impugn and marginalize those who disagree with them, this is exactly what one gets!!!

This was at all unexpected, this is exactly what we told these uber-liberal (communist/socialist) assholes and freaks what they'd get if the kept up with their bullshit. Now it's high time they paid the piper, only it's us True-North Americans exemplifying and exhibiting our exceptionalism that must yet again, save-the-day!

If folks don't heed the Clarion Call being sounded by Sarkozy, the war that's a-comin' will be the most destructive and brutal clash in the history of mankind and it will take humanity to the brink of extinction before it is all said and done!

If we don't clamp down on illegal immigration and force those that come to our country to assimilate to our melting pot of Americanism, we too will be over-run and face the hostile takeover of our Country, Culture, and Borders by not only Islamo-Fascism, but all other pet despot of the month plots of self-servitude and power & wealth mongering by malevolent forces and movements...

This better be a wake-up call for all Americans!

It also better make some headlines in world wide MSM or we will have no chance of learning from this clairvoyant error in policy that we've undertaken against the voices of True-North Americanism!

This is the report that Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik has been dreading since the tragic event on Saturday January 8.

The sheriff has been editorializing and politicizing the event since he took the podium to report on the incident. His blaming of radio personalities and bloggers is a pre-emptive strike because Mr. Dupnik knows this tragedy lays at his feet and his office. Six people died on his watch and he could have prevented it. He needs to step up and start apologizing to the families of the victims instead of spinning this event to serve his own political agenda.

Jared Loughner, pronounced by the Sheriff as Lock-ner, saying it was the Polish pronunciation. Of course he meant Scott or Irish but that isn’t the point. The point is he and his office have had previous contact with the alleged assailant in the past and that is how he knows how to pronounce the name.

Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriff’s Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system. It was also suggested that further pressing of charges would be unnecessary and probably cause more problems than it solved as Jared Loughner has a family member that works for Pima County. Amy Loughner is a Natural Resource specialist for the Pima County Parks and Recreation. My sympathies and my heart goes out to her and the rest of Mr. Loughner’s family. This tragedy must be tearing them up inside wondering if they had done the right things in trying to manage Jared’s obvious mental instability.

Every victim of his threats previously must also be wondering if this tragedy could have been prevented if they had been more aggressive in pursuing charges against Mr. Loughner. Perhaps with a felony conviction he would never have been able to lawfully buy the Glock 9mm Model 19 that he used to strike down the lives of six people and decimate 14 more.

This was not an act of politics. This was an act of a mentally disturbed young man hell bent on getting his 15 minutes of infamy. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department was aware of his violent nature and they failed to act appropriately. This tragedy leads right back to Sherriff Dupnik and all the spin in the world is not going to change that fact.
