I gotta agree with NUGE on this one.
Bein' from the epicenter of those scandal-ridden parishes, and near the reign of the Arch Diocese of Boston where the worst of the worst decisions involving matters took place, where another of our MA political alumni became the envoy/diplomat/ambassador to The Vatican, I can only tell you that there are too many ruined/damaged/crushed lives left still picking up their pieces in my neck-o'-th'-woods...
While I myself am not Catholic, and have never been personally accosted by what went on in The Roman Catholic priest scandal. It went deep into the inner bowels of hell where NAMBLA had taken over with recruiting factions within several seminaries; some very nearby. It was a movement of extreme radical homosexuality. The participants have admitted so, that is not my speculation. (The facts have been presented, submitted into evidence, and substantiated. There is no argument to be made there!) It was a haven for the expansion of the homosexual movement and it's leaders, and little boys (alter boys) were the accepted relief valve for these criminals and dangerous deviants to blow-off steam with...
For the gays to put up their rank-and-file patented assertion/defense/response that it's not about lewd and lascivious behaviors is yet again proved fraudulent and patently false; at least by those movement "leaders" that gave them birth and initiated the movement to "mainstream" their acceptance by just such underground and back-door horrors...
Sorry, but I'd go out of my way not to follow "leadership" like that for any movement!
For the Catholic church to move to ordain/declare Sainthood upon John Paul is the ultimate white-wash/cover-up job to employ their own revisionist history and apply their own fraudulent manufactured legacy!
While the rank-and-file membership is the victim here, they may be too quick to forgive out of their need to forget. It will be a blasphemous mistake for them to allow John Paul to achieve sainthood during an era where victims still live... (or ever for that matter)
"Just as it would be beyond bizzaro if banks decided to erect statues of Jesse James, John Dillinger, and Bonnie & Clyde, it is equally beyond bizzaro that the Catholic Church is moving quickly to make Pope John Paul a saint.
It was on Pope John Paul’s watch that the darkest hour of the Catholic Church came to light – serial child sex abuse by priests.
The Catholic Church hierarchy, and surely John Paul himself, knew for decades these crimes were occurring against society’s most vulnerable citizens. Instead of vociferously combating these heinous and despicable crimes by turning over these predatory priests to law enforcement, the Catholic Church covered up these crimes and shuffled these godless pedophile punks from parish to parish to abuse more children.
When he had the chance to stand up for what’s right, Pope John Paul failed. Known as the Pope of the Youth, had he truly cared about what had happened to these little boys, he would have directed the Catholic Church to turn over all the names of the priests who were suspected of committing these crimes to law enforcement for investigation and prosecution.
Our Department of Justice failed these victims for decades, too. They knew these godless crimes were being committed by priests but chose instead to turn a blind eye because of the power and influence of the Catholic Church. Damn them all to hell.
The DOJ should have treated the Catholic Church like the mafia and filed RICO charges against all the priests, Cardinals, Bishops, probably Pope John Paul and everyone else involved in this pedophile ring. Justice anyone?
To not launch the full weight of our justice infrastructure against this international pedophile ring is and was despicable. History will judge this as the most ugly, vile and horrible crime to have never been prosecuted.
We don’t know for certain what Pope John Paul knew or didn’t know about these crimes as he rose through the ranks of the Catholic Church. However, you would have to be incredibly naive to believe that he didn’t know what was going on. And he didn’t utter a single public word about it. He didn’t lift a finger. The ugly truth is that he failed these kids for decades. That’s not saintly behavior. It’s despicable.
Having been raised in the Catholic Church, I am well aware that none of us are without sin. However, for the Catholic Church to shuffle these pedophiles from one parish to the next to cover up their crimes is beyond moral shortcomings. That’s duplicitous criminal behavior.
Pope John Paul is no saint. He was a part of an international cover up that victimized who knows how many little boys. To grant him sainthood would be the ultimate sin."
